The QDA Color Management, developed for a famous automotive manufacturer, is now available. It is rather a new module than a new use of the test planning. It allows you to handle with specific recruitments of the painting process in automotive and it can make specific interpretations which were practical only from companies like DuPont or BASF in the past. QDA supports the planning part of the painting process. The problem of the automotive manufactures is the color difference of each part. Depending on the material and the supplier have the unit a slightly different color according to the internal painting units. QDA finds measurement values of the color in order to define and compare it, so the manufactures can give the suppliers suggestions for their color combination. That secured a same look of each unit.

Compared with the standard test planning the Color Management can handle complex quality management processes which, for example, are typical in automotive body part painting operations. Now it is possible to fix filter in order to separate one tolerance value which is a part of different test plans and now you can change the value from a central place. Obviously customers save an enormous amount of time by managing the color parameters.
